The benefits of taking Evening Primose Oil

When I turned 40 last year, I made the decision to start looking after myself more. It’s easy to neglect yourself when you have kids to look after and a full-time job too. Throw in the blog and as you can see, my days get hectic. The thing is, it’s easier said than done, isn’t it! Saying you are going to make changes and then doing them are two totally different things!

This year, we have been making an effort to get out more and eat better. Currently, we are making good use of our gifted David Lloyd membership so we can add some exercise to our week! This is great for burning off some of the boy’s excess energy but also for me too. I spend a lot of my days sitting behind a laptop, so I need to make sure I am doing exercise too.

As well as eating properly, I have been looking at adding supplements to my diet too. Sometimes you need that little extra boost of something no matter how good your diet is!

The benefits of taking Evening Primrose Oil

One supplement that is perfect to add to my varied diet is evening primrose oil. This has long been a staple in many people’s daily routine, and there are so many evening primrose benefits – especially for women.

Adding high strength evening primrose capsules to your diet can have effects on many different things in your body. Evening primrose oil is from the seeds of the evening primrose plant and is used as a dietary source of essential fatty acids.

People have long taken these capsules for many different reasons. For women, one of the main reasons they take it is to help with PMS and menopause symptoms. Anything that helps us have an easier period is a bonus don’t you agree! Evening Primrose Oil can also be used to relieve or alleviate the symptoms of eczema, acne and arthritis too amongst other things.

While there is no official upper limit to the amount of evening primrose oil you can take each, you can find the capsules and oil available in many different strengths.

As with any supplements, evening primrose oil isn’t suitable for everyone, and you are advised to check with your GP before adding them to your diet. It is also possible to experience side effects from taking them. In this instance, you should stop immediately.

I can definitely see the benefits of adding this to my diet, and I am looking forward to seeing what benefits my body gains from taking the supplements. You can purchase Evening Primrose Oil on Amazon.
