Kids fall asleep in the most random places…

Before I had the boys I’d seen the clips from “You’ve Been Framed” of children suddenly falling asleep in the middle of their dinner and never understood how it was even remotely possible.

My eldest only ever slept well in his cot. Oh, the number of times I was furiously pushing the buggy back and forth in order to send him to sleep in it was ridiculous. Still, I couldn’t complain he was a good sleeper at night.

Then, I had my youngest and it all changed. I’d worried that I wouldn’t get a good sleeper and that this one would be a pickle. Well, I was half right – he was/is a pickle but the one thing he does do really well? Sleep. He literally can (and will) fall asleep anywhere!

Take a look at some the places he’s fallen asleep below.

Whilst in a supermarket – he literally could not keep his eyes open!

Whilst watching TV

In an Indian Restaurant whilst eating his dinner

On the living room floor

In the middle of playing with his trains – falling asleep ON the track

At Marvel Universe Live – after consistently asking when Hulk was coming on. Hulk comes on, I look at him to ask if he enjoyed Hulk but he’s FALLEN ASLEEP already!! Argghhhhh

I also thought it would be great to ask some of my fellow bloggers to share some of the most random places that their children have fallen asleep – take a look below.

One of the most popular places to have a quick snooze?

The Jumperoo – check out these cuties below.

Nina’s little one preferred to fall asleep under one instead.

Whilst riding a trike

Beth from Beta Mummy had some real classics. Her little boy also favoured the shopping trolley as a good place to nap.

As well as in a highchair in a cafe where she had to prop him up with a bag to stop his head from lolling forward!

and whilst on the beach still clutching is breakfast – good work!!

On the Thames Clipper

Anywhere other than actually in bed was also a popular theme

At the dinner table

In the middle of playing with Play Doh

On a swing!

It seems TV has a lot to answer for

The Sofa

Kayleigh’s daughter preferred the washing basket

And finally, the living room floor was also a comfy spot

What do you think? Have your children fallen asleep in some weird and wonderful places? If you fancy sharing your photos with me pop them on my Facebook post as I would love to see them!

  7. All those pictures are funny but so cute!!!! You are right. We always struggle to get them to sleep when they are little and look at them later on! Typical… But I must admit that I am the same. I can fall asleep anywhere if I am tired… Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday.

  8. These are all so cute! My son sleeps in his cot, his carrier and VERY occasionally his buggy. I would love him to sleep anywhere but he just won’t! One time he fell asleep on his changing mat! #KCACOLS

  16. None of my children beat any of those photos, which are very entertaining, but they do have some of the weirdest sleeping positions #KCACOLS

  17. Oh this has made me smile so much! I love the trolley sleepers. They are true ads for online delivery shopping! #KCACOLS

  18. Haha! As I comment on this I know my eldest is asleep on the landing. Less random and more post bedtime stand off. I’ll move her in a bit. My youngest, however, will not sleep anywhere unless she is in her cot. Even travel cots can be touch and go. She will sleep in the car but for no more than 20 mins. Pushchair… Not likely! She is very good at using any form of visual stimulation to stay awake.

So adorable, reminded me of when my son was around 8, he used to fall asleep in his bed, but at some point in the middle of the night he would drag his blankets and pillows t my room and fall asleep on the floor, I almost stepped on him getting out of bed so many times!!! #KCACOLS
