With both boys at school now, I have Fridays to do as I please which is really lovely. I tend to spend it catching up on housework and blogging and sometimes I’ll take advantage of the time I have and go shopping or treat myself to a massage.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to Live True London in Putney to try out their hair services. A haircut was long overdue as I just never got around to booking an appointment so the timing could not have been better.

The salon is bright and spacious and was well-located along the high street. The staff were really friendly and instantly made me feel at ease.

I was booked in for a cut and blow dry and I had a chat with my stylist, Kate about what I wanted to do with my hair. I’ve been growing it out over the last six months or so but as my hair is really thick it starts getting out of hand and needs styling. I decided to have just a couple of inches off the end and to have it thinned out a little to give it some volume.

After one of the most relaxing head massages I’ve ever had after my having my hair washed, Kate got to work. Once I had a couple of inches off, she transformed my usually straight locks and blow dried them into gorgeous wavy hair that looked like it was straight out of a fashion magazine.

I was super impressed with my new do! With me not feeling too great recently, it really put a bit of a bounce back in my step.

I had wanted to book Kate to style my hair the following week as I was attending the Vuelio Awards but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time in the day to do so which was a real shame.
