Another quiet weekend – Living Arrows 10/52

There were two main topics of discussion in general last week. The dreaded coronavirus and the weather! We have drilled it into the boys to wash their hands properly and more regularly but the rate that cases have been increasing is starting to worry me. Lots of people were stockpiling last week and I have to admit that I popped a few extras into our grocery shop too “just in case” This weather has been so miserable, I honestly don’t ever remember having so much rain!

M went to a football tournament with school on Monday which he was very excited about. He told me that they didn’t win but that he did manage to save some goals. Apparently, the best part was being given a packet of mini cheddars and a penguin bar!

Apart from M’s swimming lesson on Saturday, we had another quiet weekend at home. We are being a little more mindful about being out and about at the moment but to be honest, this weather hasn’t helped either!

E finally dug out a Crystal making kit that he got for Christmas and we spent part of the afternoon making up the solution and popping them into the containers. He is really excited to watch the crystals grow over the next week. If you saw my IG stories over the weekend, you will have seen that we also attempted to hatch some Aqua Dragons from a kit that we had lying around. I’m not sure if they will work as the pack we have is a good few years old, so we shall wait and see.

The boys spent some time in the garden again while it was dry but they were disappointed that when they had finished their lunch, it was raining again.

Lastly, we ended our weekend with a lovely dinner at one of our local pubs that has just been re-opened after refurbishment. We were invited to review the new menu and this last photo was taken while the boys were editing photos they had taken on my phone.

I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky

  1. I love quiet weekends and I think we’ll be having many more of them as the weeks roll round! x

  2. I think we’ll all have to get used to more time at home soon won’t we? I don’t think my boys will have too many complaints though, especially if the weather improves a bit and we can get out in the garden 🙂
