Hello Heatwave – Living Arrows 26/52

I can’t quite believe that we are halfway through the year already! We had another busy week last week. M had a school trip to Brooklands Museum on Friday as his topic this term is all about transport. We’ve been a few times before – it’s one of our favourite places to visit so I knew he would have lots of fun with his classmates. While he was on his trip it was E’s turn for his Junior Sports Day and thankfully they started with the track events first.

After school, we headed off up towards Northampton where we were staying overnight in a hotel with friends. We were off to review Wicksteed Park on Saturday and had a fantastic day out – even if it was on the hottest day of the year. As you can see from the photos, the kids had a brilliant time going on the rollercoasters and rides. They even got to try Clip n Climb and Canoeing for the first time too. (my full review will be on the blog soon)

We came away at the end of the day having all had a little too much sun but with lots of happy memories. While we love doing things as a family of four, the boys also love to be able to visit attractions like these with their friends too.

I am looking forward to having many more days out over the summer. Fingers crossed the weather will be on our side too!

I love this photo – the contrast of expressions between the older and younger siblings is hilarious!

I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky

  1. Aw they are getting so grown up but just as cute. We all love rollercoasters here, the boys especially are proper adrenaline junkies 🙂 x

  2. It looks like you had such a nice weekend. That’s part of the country I’ve never really been to before.

  3. They look like they’re having so much fun – I can’t wait until mine are big enough to go on rollercoasters! #LivingArrows
