Crafts & creative writing – Living Arrows 32/53

I think I jinxed myself last week when I asked whether 2020 would ever redeem itself. I found out last Friday that my work are going to be making at least a third of our workforce redundant…We are now having to go through a consultation process and we won’t find out whether we have a job until the end of September. It’s just another “thing” to add to the tragedy that is 2020.

Although it’s unsettling, I am going to try and take a positive outlook on it all. I am one of the lucky ones that will receive some kind of redundancy package. I really feel for those that have been with the company for less than two years.

Anyhow…I managed to push most of this to the back of my mind last week. We started the week by heading out to our favourite Indian restaurant for the first time since lockdown. We wanted to take advantage of the Eat Out To Help Out scheme and it was just so nice to be able to eat out again.

After much insistence from the boys, I dug out our juicer to make some delicious juices with the huge selection of fruit that I added onto my Tesco order. As you can see from the photo below, M loved every mouthful!

The boys have been busying themselves with craft making and story writing this week. E even made a bird feeder for our garden.

We went over to a friends house for a barbecue on Saturday and Sunday, we spent the day catching up on chores. Our garden looks like a bombs hit it at the moment – there is mess everywhere. I am telling myself it has to get worse before it gets better…

I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky
