Bowling, Museums and a boat trip – Living Arrows 35/52

Usually, over the summer holidays, I take a week off in July and then another week in August. However, thanks to COVID I’ve not taken much leave at all which meant I could afford to take two weeks off to finish the boy’s summer holiday with some days out.

We went bowling for the first time since lockdown has eased. It was very well organised, as only every other lane was used. They’re also sanitised – including the bowling balls. It was really nice to be able to go bowling again as we usually go during every school holiday and had missed it.

Thursday, I took the boys to the Aldershot Military Museum, they’re obsessed with tanks and all things military so it was a great way to spend a few hours. They also got to try out the Assault Course in the play area which wasn’t there the last time we visited.

On Friday, we took a trip on a GoBoat along the Thames with some friends. We were a little worried about the weather but luckily we managed to avoid it while we were on the river.

The bank holiday weekend in August usually means a Badminton Barbecue at our friend’s house where we all compete to win a trophy. Sadly, we weren’t able to do it this year but we did enjoy a barbecue anyway. Fingers crossed, things will be a little less crazy next year.

I’m sharing weekly photos of the boys to celebrate their childhood and linking up to the Living Arrows linky
