Review: PAW Patrol: On a Roll Video Game

Popular Kids TV show PAW Patrol have recently released its very own video game – ideal for those who love to watch Ryder and the pups save the residents of Adventure Bay. My boys (M in particular) have been big fans of PAW Patrol so they were very excited to be able to review the video game on the Nintendo Switch.

PAW Patrol: On a Roll features bright and colourful graphics just the like show itself and is a single player 2D game where the user gets to play the role of the pups and with Ryders help they need to complete 16 different rescue missions across eight Adventure Bay locations including Farmer Yumi’s Farm, Jake Mountain, a desert canyon and more. Along the way, they can collect pup treats and Golden Paw badges where you can earn special rewards and bonuses.

The boys took it in turns to have to a play and were able to pick up how to manoeuvre the pups using the control in no time. You get to play as two different pups on each mission and there are mini-games that use each pup’s unique skills too. M couldn’t contain his excitement playing as Marshall, his favourite pup and they completed the first few levels in within half an hour.

PAW Patrol: On a Roll video game is suitable for children aged 3+ and would make a great gift for any PAW Patrol fan. It’s priced at £29.99 and is available from Smyths ToysAmazonGame and Outright Games for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
