We enjoyed the glorious sunshine this weekend with a trip to Brighton. We went on the @brightoni360official which is right by the sea front.
The i360 pod take a slow journey up, allowing you to take in views across Brighton and the South Downs 450ft above ground. There’s a bar inside with drinks and snacks available to purchase and the experience lasts 25 minutes.
Afterwards, we headed to the open air roller rink for a roller skating session!

![[AD] The sun has finally made an appearance and the boys have been making the most of it by spending it
in the garden.

Last weekend we were invited to try out @tsarettaspice’s new Bottomless Brunch menu and I can tell you it was thumbs up all round!

![📚 Are you ready for World Book Day? 📚
[AD - Gifted] I don't know about you, but I have never made the boys a costume for #WorldBookDay. I just don't have it in me to be creative that way. Their costumes have always been bought or cobbled together with what we already have, and luckily, the school allow you to wear pyjamas to school, which makes things a lot easier!
M has been living in his @TheRealTomGates pyjamas recently, and I think he might wear these when his World Book Day dress-up day comes around (the school celebrate with Book Week rather than just Book Day)
The boys have been fans of Tom Gates for a while now. M has always loved reading books that make him laugh and contain humour - they tend to keep him engaged in reading.
Did you know that there are now 20 Tom Gates storybooks to get stuck into? Ideal for kids aged 6-12, the series consists of feel-good, hilarious books full of photos and stories about Tom's life at home and school. Best of all, you can read them in any order.

We went to check out the newly opened @laserquestkingston last week.
Laser Quest, VR Experiences and Arcades all under one roof means only one thing - bundles of fun and games for the kids at really affordable prices.
Laser Quest games start from just £7.95 but you can also buy a Laserquest and VR Experience combo pass.
You need to purchase tokens for the arcades (they’re all 1 token to play). Arcade tokens are 6 for £5 or 12 for £10
Feeling super lucky that this is practically on our doorstep and we will definitely be back again because Mr H came second in our Laser Quest game and refuses to be beaten by E!

We’ve had fun visiting Theme Parks we’ve not previously been to this year. Back in June we went to Thorpe Park for the first time and on our holiday to Hamburg we went to Hansa Park near the Baltic Sea. We had the opportunity to visit Paultons Park in Hampshire over the summer, needless to say, the boys were excited to be able to check off another theme park off their list!
Paultons Park is based in Hampshire on the outskirts of the New Forest and is also home to Peppa Pig World. It’s a half hour drive from Southampton where we stayed at The Holiday Inn Express.
The location of Paultons Park makes for a great family weekend away. As well as visiting the park you could also check out what the New Forest has to offer and make a real weekend of it.
We visited the park on a Sunday over the summer holidays and expected it to be really busy. It turns out that although there were plenty of visitors, we didn’t have to queue for more than 5-10 minutes for any of the rides we went on which was brilliant.
The Park is really family friendly with rides to suit children of all ages. If you head to their website prior to visiting, there is a handy section there where you can see which rides are suitable based on your height.
Peppa Pig World
Peppa Pig World is the perfect place to head to if you have pre-school children. There are seven gentle rides that are perfect for introducing little ones too as well as an adventure playground. Of course, it wouldn’t be Peppa Pig world without seeing the much-loved characters too.
As my boys are a little older now, we didn’t go on any of the rides within Peppa Pig World itself. We did find this area of the park busier than others and I put this down to the fact that younger families spent the majority of their time here.
We spent our time exploring the rest of the park which was specifically designed for children aged 14 and under.
Critter Creek
E (who’s 7) was able to go on all the rides and M could go on all bar one (The Cobra). It really made a nice change not having to worry about height restrictions like other theme parks we’ve been to and we managed to go on plenty throughout the day.
One of the boy’s favourites was the Cat-O-Pillar Coaster which is very similar to The Flying Fish at Thorpe Park.
The Lost Kingdom
The newest part of Paultons Park which opened last year saw the addition of The Lost Kingdom which was aimed at slightly older children.
My “no-fear” younger son was super excited to be going on The Velociraptor – a ride that starts by going backwards. E, on the other hand, was a little more nervous about it but said he did enjoy the ride afterwards. He managed to then build up the courage to go on The Cobra with Mr H.
Fun for the whole family
We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Paultons Park. The theme park is smaller in comparison to its counterparts but I liked the fact that it was. It meant there were no overcrowding issues or huge queues for rides. When you have children in tow it can be hard work walking from one section of a theme park to another but we found this wasn’t a problem at Paultons Park. It’s a really good size for families and would especially work well for families who have children more than a few years apart. It caters well for pre-schoolers right through to school-aged children.

Wow, there are certainly enough adventures to busy yourself with here. This is a place I’d love to take my daughter, but I’ve always been a bit dubious. Until now, it looks amazing!

We live quite close to Paulton’s Park and it is my kids park of choice. We haven’t visited the new Lost Kingdon section so must arrange a new visit.

We went to Paultons in July and my two loved it! Last year we went and my son was only a few weeks old so this time being one was loads better and my two year old thought Peppa Pig world was fantastic! #KCACOLS
We nearly made a trip to Paulton’s Park this summer however it’s a 5 hour drive for us and we decided that with the entry, food plus staying over etc. It wasn’t feasible this year with a bay due in December and Maternity Leave pay looming. We did go to Drayton Manor and Thomas Land which was really good. After reading your review, I’m actually glad we didn’t make the trip as our son would have only been able to use Peppa Pig world and i thought there were more rides than just 7. #KCACOLS

I dislike PPW with a vengeance (too many people, too long queues, boring rides) but I love the rest of Paultons Park. We go there with a couple of sets of friends and kids every year and with each trip as the kids get that little bit bigger there are more rides they can do. There’s a good mix of thrill rides and tamer ones and overall the queues (excluding PPW) are much shorter than at, say, Legoland. Not cheap but a very good day out given the number of rides you can do in a day. #KCACOLS
We love Paultons Park. I have been going there since I was a kid myself. Booey is getting older now, but she still emjoys going there.
