We enjoyed the glorious sunshine this weekend with a trip to Brighton. We went on the @brightoni360official which is right by the sea front.
The i360 pod take a slow journey up, allowing you to take in views across Brighton and the South Downs 450ft above ground. There’s a bar inside with drinks and snacks available to purchase and the experience lasts 25 minutes.
Afterwards, we headed to the open air roller rink for a roller skating session!

in the garden.

Last weekend we were invited to try out @tsarettaspice’s new Bottomless Brunch menu and I can tell you it was thumbs up all round!

![📚 Are you ready for World Book Day? 📚
[AD - Gifted] I don't know about you, but I have never made the boys a costume for #WorldBookDay. I just don't have it in me to be creative that way. Their costumes have always been bought or cobbled together with what we already have, and luckily, the school allow you to wear pyjamas to school, which makes things a lot easier!
M has been living in his @TheRealTomGates pyjamas recently, and I think he might wear these when his World Book Day dress-up day comes around (the school celebrate with Book Week rather than just Book Day)
The boys have been fans of Tom Gates for a while now. M has always loved reading books that make him laugh and contain humour - they tend to keep him engaged in reading.

We went to check out the newly opened @laserquestkingston last week.
Laser Quest, VR Experiences and Arcades all under one roof means only one thing - bundles of fun and games for the kids at really affordable prices.
Laser Quest games start from just £7.95 but you can also buy a Laserquest and VR Experience combo pass.
You need to purchase tokens for the arcades (they’re all 1 token to play). Arcade tokens are 6 for £5 or 12 for £10
Feeling super lucky that this is practically on our doorstep and we will definitely be back again because Mr H came second in our Laser Quest game and refuses to be beaten by E!

Today’s post is about top tips for hosting Christmas. Now I don’t think I’m much of an expert at it but I do love having family come round at Christmas. These days I find it much easier to have family round our house rather than having to traipse around visiting family with the boys (plus various toys). It means they get to stay in the comfort of their own home and play to their hearts content on all the new presents they got from Father Christmas.
So my tips for hosting Christmas are as follows:
Keep hydrated
You don’t want to suffer from dehydration and feint whilst you are in the middle of cooking your turkey! So that means remembering to regularly top up your glass with a drink of your choice…wine, prosecco… gin. Its VERY important!
Simplicity is key
Christmas lunch is my main focus on the big day. I don’t worry about starters. We’ll have breakdast and then nibbles throughout the day. Things like olives, home made sausage rolls, pickles and crisps. It’s the one day of the year I allow my boys to graze on crisps all day!
Delegate
I used to be terrible at this because I always felt that because I was hosting it mean I had to do everything myself. I’ve since learnt to accept help whenever it’s offered (or delegate when it’s not) because it means I will be a lot less stressed out. The boys are now old enough to help out a little too and they love to set the table and I usually set the other half peeling the veggies for me so I can concentrate on the turkey! (and keeping hydrated of course)
Preparation
This is probably obvious but prepare as much as you can beforehand. I make things like mince pices, sausage rolls and desserts on the run up to Christmas Day. I know some people like to prep their veg the night before too but I prefer to do mine on the day.
Timing
We usually have our Christmas lunch around 1.30/2pm so I always aim for everything to be ready an hour before because inevitably timings run over.

I wish I was better at delegating #KCACOLS
I delegate by getting my hubby and Mum’s fella to do all the cooking. I’m rubbish at anything that requires timing! I agree about staying at home. Since having our son, we do the same. Missing out on lunchtime pub visit due to toddler nap time but id rather do that than drag him about and have a tired tot. #KCACOLS
I don’t do any cooking what so ever! I’m rubbish at it!! We normally spend Xmas at the in laws so Nick’s mum is the one who does the cooking but when we have hosted Xmas at home is normally Nick who cooks so I help with other things such as getting the house looks presentable, get all the dishes cleaned, be sure people have something to drink and are happy!
