Hari Ghotra Makhani Curry Kit review

hari-ghotra-review

I had the opportunity to review a Hari Ghotra curry kit a few weeks ago and I have to say I was really excited. We are big curry lovers in our household – hubby grew up eating authentic curries, his grandparents lived in India for around 30 years before they moved to England so we are definitely no strangers to them.

After browsing through the website, we decided on the Makhani curry kit (Butter chicken) but there is a huge range to choose from. The kit supplies all the spices you need to cook the curry – you just have to add whatever meat you choose along with some tinned tomatoes.

Even if you are a novice cook, this curry kit lays everything out for you in simple and easy steps. The kits spices are all labelled by number and the instructions are clear and concise. Hubby cooked this for us to enjoy as a family on a Saturday evening and I have to say the smells coming from the kitchen were quite simply amazing!

The result? One delicious Murgh Makhani which we all polished off rather quickly.

Now I’m not sure if it was just the recipe we chose but hubby was in the kitchen for good couple of hours cooking this so I would say it is something that I wouldn’t cook up during the working week. It would, however, be perfect for entertaining as the flavours of the curry and the smells of the spices are amazing and would definitely impress visiting guests!
