The Boys Favourite Nickelodeon Shows

Now the boys are a little older Cbeebies doesn’t seem to quite cut it anymore – they prefer a wider variety of programmes to watch and as there is an almost three year age gap between them, inevitably they sometimes bicker about what they want to watch on the box.

Nick Jr and Nickelodeon seems to be a great compromise of shows they will happily sit down and watch together on NOW TV.

The Boys Favourite Nickelodeon Shows

Here are some of their favourites:

Paw Patrol
The theme tune drives me mad and gets stuck in my head for days but this is by far the boys most favourite show at the moment. I found out recently just how into Paw Patrol M was when he managed to name all of the six dogs on the Paw Patrol team. He can do this with no problem but ask him to name any of the children he plays with at nursery and he just says “the boys and girls”

Paw Patrol is based on a team of six dogs (Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Zuma, Rubble, and Skye) along with their leader, a boy called Ryder. They work on rescue missions to protect the community of Adventure Bay.

Blaze and The Monster Machines
Blaze is the worlds most amazing monster truck and the show follows his adventures in Axle City alongside his best friend AJ. The show is aimed at pre-schoolers but E who is 6 this year still loves watching it as much as M does. They both love nothing more than shouting out the possible answers to help Blaze and AJ solve their problems which are usually created by Blaze’s rival Crusher.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I used to LOVE watching the Ninja Turtles back in the day when Saturday morning TV was all about Kids TV. Our children really are so lucky to be able to have so much available to them at any given time these days. Anyway, the heroes in a half-shell are back and are called Ninja Turtles again after a brief spell of being called “Hero turtles” (apparently using the word Ninja wasn’t deemed appropriate) Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo are fighting Shredder and other mutants with their help of Shredder their master and their friends April and Casey.

Bubble Guppies
Another one with an annoying theme tune (what is with that?) Bubble Guppies is set in Bubbletucky and is about a group of pre-school friends. They learn a wide range of topics based on science, maths and literacy. The show follows a similar format each episode and there is always a small comedy sketch based around lunchtime.

So what time is it? It’s time for lunch!

Alvin and the Chipmunks
The boys have only recently gotten into watching this one but are pretty mesmerised when it does come on. The Chipmunks have been animated for the first time in this new show and features an original chipmunk song in every episode.
